| HI EVERYONE
Just a small note! I absolutely HATE this new Xanga format. I dunno what the heck I am doing, I have no desire to "learn" how to navigate it, but it pretty much took me 7 minutes to figure out how to make a freakin' post on my OWN blog.
Facebook is much easier and that's where I do most of my posting, even though there's not a real "blog" sense there. I may attempt this again but no time soon.
I prefer facebook, and e-mail.

| HI FRIENDS
It's been SO long since I've updated. It's now June 16th, 2008
I am not keen on all the changes that have taken place. I am finding it hard to navigate around. I will read up about things and learn it soon enough!
Charles and I are doing well. Our kitties are too. My family is doing well and we are anxiously awaiting 2 more babies in the family this year.
One of my cousins and his wife are due for baby #2 on June 25th!! Eddie will be a big brother!!
My other cousin is due with baby #2 on August 13th. Galena will be a big sister!!

2 years ago today, our family was VERY blessed with the arrival of the first great-grandchild!!!!!!!! Our Nana would have been SO SO proud, sadly she passed away June 25th, 2005, but she did know that Matt and Jody were expecting, because they had their ultrasound 3 days before she died...and in fact the last word she said was baby!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 months after they showed Nana the ultrasound, our family welcomed"EDWARD CHARLES" aka- Eddie..into the world, and our family!!!!He has been such a joy and a blessing to watch over the last 2 years. To see him blossom into walking and playing and talking and just becoming the sweet little boy that he is, has been a great thing for me and Charles!!!!!!!! WE LOVE HIM like he was our own son! I babysit him every Thursday night, and we have so much fun!!!!!!!!!!

 Wow what a fun and long night it's been. It's time for me togo lay down in the spare room at my Auntie's house cuz I getreal cranky if my bedtime is too late! ....oh...and in case you did not know...I am going to be a BIG BROTHER in June 2008!!! YEP..I can't wait. I wonder if I will have a baby brother, or baby sister. Either way, I do not care, I just want someone to play with and love!!!!!!!!!!

| HAPPY 2008 EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!
It is SO hard to believe that another year has gone by!!!!!
2007 was a blessed year for us, as we had many good times with family and friends, we got our new baby kitten- lil Schatze (born June 29)...and we went the entire year (for the first time in a LONG time) without losing a family member, or having to watch anyone in the family suffer a serious illness.
PRAISE THE LORD!
I do not know what 2008 has in store for us, but we are entering this year with fresh attitudes, a better outlook on life in general, and we are going to focus on what we have, not what we don't have. We will continue to pray that we will be able to announce that we will become parents..perhaps this year, or 2009. Whether it be through surrogacy or adoption, we KNOW it will happen!
 May everyone have a happy and healthy 2008!!!!
LOVE, LIVE, LAUGH!!!
Cherish every moment and live like every day is going to be your last. Family, friends, pets, even strangers...take this year to LOVE...to help, to volunteer in your communities. Nursing homes, Big Sisters/Big Brothers, Animal Shelters, Soup Kitchens, Homeless Shelters..wherever...there's need out there and we so want to do something this year so...Charles and I plan on doing some volunteer work at one or more community organizations this year.
A few hours a week, a few hours a month..if you have the time...invest it in others. We both decided even before tonight that we wanted to get involved in our community more, and we are going to do it. I was a member of Big Sisters for 7 years until my "little sister" Narissa was too old to participate in any of the Group Functions anymore. She is and will always forever be my "little sister". I may become a Big Sister again and be re-matched with another girl, or an associate member..volunteering time with the group for girls on the waiting list, but not committing to an actual match. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND becoming involved with Big Sisters/Big Brothers in your communities. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! My Narissa was just 9 when I met her, and she is now a gorgeous young woman of 19! She is engaged and she had a brand new baby girl on Sept 23, 2007. Latisha Rose!!! She is absolutely precious!!  That
is the only New Year's resolution that I am going to make. This year is
going to be a year of change for me, in so many ways, I cannot begin to
count. This may sound premature, and maybe it is because I am just so
thrilled that I just saw the ball drop on tv from Times Square,
remembering being there 8 years ago with Charles ringing in the year
2000 with 4 million other people...I am not sure what it is....but I
feel like this year will be a year of rebirth for me, for us. I have so many hopes, and dreams that I want to accomplish, and it's never too late.
To each and every one of you who have been a part of my life, for however long you have been a part of my life, I thank you for your friendship, your smiles, your funny e-mails, funny messages, and most of all your love! Take comfort in the knowledge that having friends is one of life's greatest pleasures, and I am so blessed to have all of you, whoever you are reading this right now...in my life!!
  Speaking of believing, a shout out to my dear friend Denia in Texas, who is battling 3rd stage breast cancer. I know this is the year you will beat it....you're an awesome person and you ain't goin anywhere, except to the mall with me to shop till we drop when I get there in 2009!!!!!!!! PARTAY!!!!! Not a day goes by that we do not pray for you, and you are also on my friend's prayer list at his church. You have been a great friend to me, and we've been through SO much together. Having the pleasure of meeting you and Dan in person 2x has been ultra cool!!!!!!!!!! Now it's our turn to come to TX and as I said, we ARE coming in March 2009!!!!!!!!! SCHWEET!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there and you're on our minds!

 Brother and sister nappin' together! December 27th, 2007  I am so blessed to be entering into our 11th year of marriage!! We will celebrate our 11th on August 9th. I am so blessed to have such a wonderfully giving, loving, caring, generous, funny man to spend the rest of my life with. He will never really know how much I love him! It's SO much, that there are no words available to describe the depth of my love for him. Thank you Lord for my beloved Charles!
 This will happen. I know God has a plan for us, even though so many times, I am impatient and unable to accept the grand plan. It is not easy, but I can only do my best while I wait to be blessed!!!
I am excited to see what this year brings on the baby front. Continue to pray for us so that we may be honoured with the gift of becoming a mommy and daddy.
To ALL my friends and family out there who are parents....YOU ROCK! It's the most important job in the world. I know all of you out there who have children! I have seen their pictures, I have heard you speak about them. How precious they are, and how wonderful it is that they are blessed to have YOU as their mommy/daddy! Pat yourselves on the back!!! YOU TRULY DESERVE IT!!!!
I have 5 close friends and 1 family member that are all having babies in 2008 and all of them are due between February and July!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to welcome the new little ones into the world!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE OF YOU WAITING FOR YOUR PRECIOUS BUNDLES OF JOY!!!!!!!!!!!

 In case you don't know where Sarnia is on the globe...here's a great map of our location! Right on the Michigan border, 1 hour from Detroit, 3 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Toledo, 6 hrs from Chicago, 3 hrs to Buffalo, 10 hours to New York City!!! Right on beautiful Lake Huron!!!!! We are centrally located and close enough to major cities to get away for some R & R and great sightseeing, and we are blessed with small city charm!!!! COME ON FOR A VISIT!

| GREETINGS FAMILY & FRIENDS
I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy!!! Just 3 days until Christmas! WOW, the time sure is flying! Believe it or not, I have to do some last minute shopping on Sunday (tomorrow). I need to go to the kick butt dollar store here in town- DOLLARAMA (the world's best store) and also Petsmart!
We also have some baking to do on Sunday.
I am working Monday, a full day. 8am-530pm, and then Christmas Eve festivities begin at my Uncle and Aunt's house at 7pm. It'll be a bit rushed but I am so looking forward to spending the night with my wonderful family!!! I can't wait to see little Eddie as he is at the mega cute stage, 23 months old. Also, my 1st cousin Alyssa will be there. I've not seen her since July! She only lives 3 hrs away! I sure do miss her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I volunteered to work Christmas Day for 4 hrs. It won't interfere with any family festivities. Plus...the double time and a half pay will come in handy! I am also working Boxing Day ( a stat holiday in Canada, which is Dec 26)...just a 4 hr shift as well. Gotta love that double time and a half! I did not sign up to work New Years Day. Originally, I thought I would be outta town, but it did not pan out, and it was too late to sign the sheet to work, otherwise I would have volunteered to work that day too.
Charles and I are spending a quiet evening at home tonight. We're watching the Maple Leaf game and playing some comp games and playing with the kitties!

**UPDATE** I decided to sign up for MORE extra hours on Boxing Day (Dec 26), so instead of a 4 hr shift, I am working 8.5 hrs!!!!! I have to be AT work in 5 hrs, I better get to bed hehe.**
I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A BLESSED AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Our family had a FABULOUS 2 days of fun. I will write more later about it. I am very blessed, and am very thankful to the Lord for everything I have.
