It is SO hard to believe that another year has gone by!!!!!
2007 was a blessed year for us, as we had many good times with family and friends, we got our new baby kitten- lil Schatze (born June 29)...and we went the entire year (for the first time in a LONG time) without losing a family member, or having to watch anyone in the family suffer a serious illness.
PRAISE THE LORD!
I do not know what 2008 has in store for us, but we are entering this year with fresh attitudes, a better outlook on life in general, and we are going to focus on what we have, not what we don't have. We will continue to pray that we will be able to announce that we will become parents..perhaps this year, or 2009. Whether it be through surrogacy or adoption, we KNOW it will happen!

LOVE, LIVE, LAUGH!!!
Cherish every moment and live like every day is going to be your last. Family, friends, pets, even strangers...take this year to LOVE...to help, to volunteer in your communities. Nursing homes, Big Sisters/Big Brothers, Animal Shelters, Soup Kitchens, Homeless Shelters..wherever...there's need out there and we so want to do something this year so...Charles and I plan on doing some volunteer work at one or more community organizations this year.
A few hours a week, a few hours a month..if you have the time...invest it in others. We both decided even before tonight that we wanted to get involved in our community more, and we are going to do it. I was a member of Big Sisters for 7 years until my "little sister" Narissa was too old to participate in any of the Group Functions anymore. She is and will always forever be my "little sister". I may become a Big Sister again and be re-matched with another girl, or an associate member..volunteering time with the group for girls on the waiting list, but not committing to an actual match. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND becoming involved with Big Sisters/Big Brothers in your communities. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! My Narissa was just 9 when I met her, and she is now a gorgeous young woman of 19! She is engaged and she had a brand new baby girl on Sept 23, 2007. Latisha Rose!!! She is absolutely precious!!  That
is the only New Year's resolution that I am going to make. This year is
going to be a year of change for me, in so many ways, I cannot begin to
count. This may sound premature, and maybe it is because I am just so
thrilled that I just saw the ball drop on tv from Times Square,
remembering being there 8 years ago with Charles ringing in the year
2000 with 4 million other people...I am not sure what it is....but I
feel like this year will be a year of rebirth for me, for us. I have so many hopes, and dreams that I want to accomplish, and it's never too late.
To each and every one of you who have been a part of my life, for however long you have been a part of my life, I thank you for your friendship, your smiles, your funny e-mails, funny messages, and most of all your love! Take comfort in the knowledge that having friends is one of life's greatest pleasures, and I am so blessed to have all of you, whoever you are reading this right now...in my life!!
  Speaking of believing, a shout out to my dear friend Denia in Texas, who is battling 3rd stage breast cancer. I know this is the year you will beat it....you're an awesome person and you ain't goin anywhere, except to the mall with me to shop till we drop when I get there in 2009!!!!!!!! PARTAY!!!!! Not a day goes by that we do not pray for you, and you are also on my friend's prayer list at his church. You have been a great friend to me, and we've been through SO much together. Having the pleasure of meeting you and Dan in person 2x has been ultra cool!!!!!!!!!! Now it's our turn to come to TX and as I said, we ARE coming in March 2009!!!!!!!!! SCHWEET!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there and you're on our minds!

 Brother and sister nappin' together! December 27th, 2007   I am so blessed to be entering into our 11th year of marriage!! We will celebrate our 11th on August 9th. I am so blessed to have such a wonderfully giving, loving, caring, generous, funny man to spend the rest of my life with. He will never really know how much I love him! It's SO much, that there are no words available to describe the depth of my love for him. Thank you Lord for my beloved Charles!
 This will happen. I know God has a plan for us, even though so many times, I am impatient and unable to accept the grand plan. It is not easy, but I can only do my best while I wait to be blessed!!!
I am excited to see what this year brings on the baby front. Continue to pray for us so that we may be honoured with the gift of becoming a mommy and daddy.
To ALL my friends and family out there who are parents....YOU ROCK! It's the most important job in the world. I know all of you out there who have children! I have seen their pictures, I have heard you speak about them. How precious they are, and how wonderful it is that they are blessed to have YOU as their mommy/daddy! Pat yourselves on the back!!! YOU TRULY DESERVE IT!!!!
I have 5 close friends and 1 family member that are all having babies in 2008 and all of them are due between February and July!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to welcome the new little ones into the world!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE OF YOU WAITING FOR YOUR PRECIOUS BUNDLES OF JOY!!!!!!!!!!!

 In case you don't know where Sarnia is on the globe...here's a great map of our location! Right on the Michigan border, 1 hour from Detroit, 3 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Toledo, 6 hrs from Chicago, 3 hrs to Buffalo, 10 hours to New York City!!! Right on beautiful Lake Huron!!!!! We are centrally located and close enough to major cities to get away for some R & R and great sightseeing, and we are blessed with small city charm!!!! COME ON FOR A VISIT!
